Multimedia functions include support for a wide variety of video and audio formats. While there is no support for expandable memory, the Apple iPhone-16GB does come with 16GB of high speed flash memory built into the phone.

The Apple iPhone-16GB also runs a slightly scaled down version of Apple’s famous Mac OS X operating system. This provides users with its best in class Safari browser, as well as a native email program, iPod music and video player, iTunes support, and more. Furthermore, as of July 11, the Apple iPhone-16GB will also support downloadable software from third parties, including games to rival the Sony PSP or Nintendo DS.

Other features include 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth support, a large phone book, visual voicemail, an alarm, a calendar, a stopwatch, Google Maps support, YouTube support, weather, stocks, Adobe PDF support, Microsoft Word and Excel support, a calculator, email support, and more.

The Apple iPhone-16GB is really the ultimate consumer phone. It packs in the most widely used features of a laptop or other personal computer into a device as small as the palm of your hand. With a truly unique spin on the mobile market, the Apple iPhone-16GB is an amazing device, only to be trumped come July by the iPhone 3G which offers 3G support. While the Apple iPhone-16GB is truly an incredible piece of equipment, it is recommended that you hold off on purchase until its successor, the iPhone 3G becomes available.
