Motorola Sidekick-Slide Review

Motorola Sidekick-Slide Review

With a body that is smaller and lighter than many other Sidekicks, the Motorola version is still a sturdy little phone solution. Along with being a tough handheld device, the Motorola Sidekick-Slide works a little differently than other units. Instead of using a swivel approach for the display, the device uses a slide mechanism to move around through the features. For many people, this is a much easier method to control.

In addition, the Motorola Sidekick-Slide includes a larger memory capacity, along with a memory card slot. The resolution display is more colorful than ever, making for vibrant and easy to view usage. Bluetooth capability is also included, along with a QWERTY keyboard that further enhances the overall experience.

Pros
Slide technology is much easier to use than the swivel method used on many other phones
Camera has decent quality and is easy to use
Cons
Standby time is less, at just three and a half days
Menu could be better integrated, rather than having some key functions scattered around the body
There is no video capability with this phone
Final Word
While the Motorola Sidekick-Slide has a lot of good features, some consumers will be put off by the lack of video and the fact that it is not possible to download images from the Internet. Still, the phone is attractive for basic uses and the price tag is not bad.
