Motorola Hollywood / E815 Review

Motorola Hollywood / E815 Review

The external display measures at 1.5 inch with 4000 colors and it definitely gives the Motorola Hollywood / E815 a boost as users will only need to flip open the phone if they want to make a call as the display provides all the vital information such as the time, date, signal strength, network connectivity, battery life and Photo caller ID. The internal display is even more amazing at a measurement of 2 inches with the support of 262,000 colors and performs better in bright sunlight compared to other Motorola phones and is also gentle on the eyes. More flexibility is given as users can adjust the brightness, contrast and backlight time but users still can't change the font size. The images are rich in colors and the display proves to be excellent for viewing photos as well.

Its large size has brought about a user-friendly keypad in silver color that is slightly convex so the fact the buttons in the keypad are so close to each other doesn't pose a problem. There are five navigation keys, the Clear key, a separate camera key, the menu key and the Talk and End keys. The dedicated buttons at the right edge of the phone for the camera and voice command management are simply superb although they are small shaped. The speakerphone button on the other hand is at the left side of the phone just below the volume rocker. Rubber flaps above the phone provide sufficient protection for the headset and TransFlash port that is situated beside the antenna.

As for music fans you can transfer MP3s to the Motorola Hollywood / E815 by using the TransFlash card and listen to the music via the phone's stereo headset and other features available at your disposal would be the option to set up play lists of your favorite songs, shuffling and repeating modes are available together with scanning and reversing options and the convenience of listening to the music even when the phone is shut is just great. The points that need to be noted however is that while scanning you can't listen to the music and there is no play or pause button on the flip of the phone so you need to open the phone to make adjustments.
