LG VX8300 Review

LG VX8300 Review

Verizon in its effort to produce the ultimate EVDO flip phone has succeeded in this task by releasing the LG VX8300 an updated version of the LG VX1800. The LG VX8300 being the third Verizon EVDO flip phone is for those who are looking for a phone that boasts about technology features. Major differences between both this phone models are, that the LG VX8300 comes in a much smaller size but has mega high end features such as the OLED external screen, Micro SD Card slot, integrated Bluetooth with stereo profile, web browser, voice recognition and modem capability with the support of Verizon 3G network making it the perfect high tech gadget.

This sleek and stylish phone designed in the form of a clamshell comes in a stunning gray that seems to give the phone a more business like or professional image, which actually gleams and is much slimmer compared to the LG VX 1800 by weighing only 3.88 ounces that can be categorized as light. It measures at a dimension of 3.58 by 1.93 by 0.92 inches allowing users to carry it snuggly in their jeans pockets or handbag. The phone is round shaped when closed resembling a pebble or the alphabet letter U.

OLED external display of the phone measures at 1.2 inches and comes with the support of 65,000 colors. It provides users with vital information such as the time, date, battery life, signal strength and photo caller ID. The plus point of this external display is that users can take self-portraits of themselves anytime they want. Below the external display are the music control keys whilst the camera lens together with its small flash is located above the display.

The top part of the  LG VX8300  seems a little bulky, as the stereo speakers are located on both sides of the top hinge, and thereafter is the cute stub antenna and the headset jack. The camera key and the MicroSD card slot is at the right spine of the phone whilst the voice command keys and the volume rocker to adjust the volume is at the left spine of the phone. The charger port is at the bottom of the phone.
