LG VX-9800 Review

 LG VX-9800 Review

After the display is the navigation array that consists of two soft keys, a voice command key, a Clear button, Talk/End button and a five way toggle. The keypads are slightly raised from the surface for easy dialing and the blue backlighting gives the keypad a cool soothing effect. Alternatively the keypad can be used for T9 text messaging function. The 2.5mm headset jack is situated at the right side of the phone, a perfect location, as it will not cause disruption when users are watching videos with the flap open. Other than the headphone, the mini SD slot is also situated at the right side of the phone. On the left side of the phone users will find the camera shutter key and the volume toggle. The charger port is at the bottom of the phone.

After a detailed description of the exterior of the phone, it is time to move on to the internal part of the phone. The internal display is spacious measuring at 2.25 inches with the support of 262, 000 colors making it perfect for watching V cast videos, playing games, viewing pictures and for the utilization of Verizon's standard menus. Internal display is located in the center with two stereo speakers located side by side for full sound when viewing videos. The QWERTY keypad is rightly designed with adequate space allocated in between the oval shaped keys suitable for long periods of typing. Users should also note that there are separate keys for Shift, Symbol and Enter.

Compared to the L1900 the QWERTY keyboard in the LG VX-9800 can also be used to enter addresses and contacts of callers other than for using to type messages. The inclusion of the keyboard to be a part of this phone makes it akin to a mini laptop.

Luckily, instead of using a slider mechanism to hide the QWERTY keypad, the LG VX-9800 uses a clamshell form to do so, this way it allocates sufficient room for the keyboard. Navigation keys are located at the right side of the keyboard and as always, there is a five- way toggle for control, two soft keys located below the screen and a clear key at the lower right of the keyboard.
