LG VX-9800 Review

 LG VX-9800 Review

Messaging has gained popularity among mobile phone users which shouldn't come as a surprise as SMS, picture messaging, multimedia messaging, text messaging and chatting has become a convenient and a more preferable mode of communication in our community today. Users who want a phone that can meet their messaging needs should go for the LG VX-9800 as it comes with a QWERTY keypad device that boasts its strong text messaging capabilities.

Unlike the F9100 that came with a hidden QWERTY keypad that only emphasized on messaging features, the LG VX-9800 on the other hand is a more improved and complete messaging device that also has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, MP3 player, Mini SD Card, EVDO capability and inclusion of Bluetooth which, has made it a complete package that meets the audio, imaging and connectivity needs of users.

The LG VX-9800 could be described as having three different faces because at a first glance it appears to be a mobile phone in the form of a candy bar with a colorful external display, navigation keys and a keypad. Turn it around and it reveals a digital thin camera that comes with a flash, a macro toggle below it and there is a shutter release key at the right side of the phone. Lastly the phone opens up like a clamshell to reveal a QWERTY keypad that comes with an internal display which is to be viewed horizontally.

It is quite amazing that one phone can provide users with a variety of function and yet be reasonably sized by weighing 147g and measuring at a dimension of 11 x 50 x 25mm. Users may find it a bit weighty but this shouldn't be a cause for complaint when the phone has so much to offer. Its large size should be given credit as it ensures the phone is durable and solid and the plus point is that there is no external antenna so the phone doesn't look bulky.

The external display measures at 1.75 inches and with the support of 65,000 colors ensure that users are entertained by its capacity to display photos and videos constantly. Vital information such as the date, time, signal strength, battery life and photo Caller-ID appears on the external display and users can also access to the main menu without having to open the phone, which is a convenient and time saving for users who lead a busy lifestyle. Also to top it all up users get to change the font size and backlighting.
