LG Muziq-LX-570 Review

LG Muziq-LX-570 Review

The LG Muziq-LX-570, successor to the moderately successful Fusic, is a phone designed for one purpose only – to allow its users to play music and videos while they are on the go. Every feature built into the LG Muziq-LX-570 points the user in that direction, from the iPod like outer shell to the streaming media support. The LG Muziq-LX-570 is the phone to look for if you are in the market for a stylish device with a ton of media capabilities.

As a CDMA phone, you will only be able to use the LG Muziq-LX-570 while you are located in America (and a couple of other places around the world). However, even though you are stuck in the United States with the LG Muziq-LX-570, it also means that you get access to 3G support via the EVDO rev. 0 wireless data network so you can stream media to your phone whenever you want.

The LG Muziq-LX-570 is a small and light clamshell style phone. It measures in at approximately four inches by two inches by one inch and weighs a measly 89 grams. Amazingly enough, there is plenty of battery life to go around on the LG Muziq-LX-570. It offers up to four hours of talk time or 288 hours of standby time on a single charge. Keep in mind, though, that using the multimedia features on the phone will drain your battery especially fast.

Unlike so many other clamshell phones from LG, the LG Muziq-LX-570 includes a great screen on the inside and outside of the device. The internal screen is large and colorful, allowing for 176 pixels by 220 pixels and 262 thousand colors, while the external screen is pretty big itself with a resolution of 128 pixels by 160 pixels.

As far as other features are concerned, there are plenty of toys to tinker with on the LG Muziq-LX-570. First off, there is a built in 1.3 Megapixel digital camera with digital zoom capability. Also included is a music and video player with a multitude of formats and expandable memory via a microSD card. Other features include an FM radio, an integrated FM transmitter, Bluetooth (1.1) support, a speakerphone, a number of voice dialing options, and GPS support.

Pros
Small and stylish
3G support
Decent battery life
Lots of features

Cons
Camera could have been better
Very poor signal strength

Overall
The LG Muziq-LX-570 is a cool phone, but it is not the best on the market if you are looking for a CDMA compatible multimedia phone. Unless you can't live without the clamshell style of the LG Muziq-LX-570, look to the Motorola ROKR-V6m instead.
