LG KU990-Viewty Review

LG KU990-Viewty Review

At its core, the LG KU990-Viewty is an upgrade to the LG Prada that finally includes all of the necessary features that its predecessor left out. If you have been looking for a high fashion phone that really does have a ton of great features, this is the phone that you have been waiting for. It has style, sophistication, a massive touch screen and enough cool bells and whistles to impress your family and friends ten times over. Apple's iPhone needs to watch out – the LG KU990-Viewty may have the corner on the cool market very soon.

The LG KU990-Viewty is a quad band GSM phone that can be used anywhere in the world with the simple switch of a SIM card. Just like its predecessor. Nothing in that department has changed. However, the LG KU990-Viewty also allows for more than just data access via the EDGE network – it now features 3G for high upload and download speeds via the HSDPA network, giving you 3.6 Mbit/s for downloads and 1.8 Mbit/s for uploads.

Since the LG KU990-Viewty is a brand new phone, there are still no statistics about battery life, but expect it to feature roughly the same shoddy talk time as the LG Prada, as it is basically the same phone with a few new features. The LG KU990-Viewty's size is approximately four inches by two inches by one-half of an inch, just like the LG Prada. The phone does weigh thirty grams more, though, at 112 grams. That added weight must be from all of the extra features.

Aside from 3G data speeds, the LG KU990-Viewty also includes a far superior camera. Boosted up from 2 Megapixels, the Viewty's camera now clocks in at 5 Megapixels and adds auto focus, a superior digital zoom and support for video calling. Also included is a music and video player with expandable memory via a microSD card.
