BlackBerry RIM 9000 Review
Unfortunately, the BlackBerry RIM 9000 is still lacking in the camera department. Although it does offer 5x digital zoom, a flash, and video support, the camera is capable of only 2.0 megapixels.
Like many of the BlackBerry devices before it, the BlackBerry RIM 9000 offers support for a wide range of audio and video formats. Memory can also be expanded via microSD, though there is 1GB of built in memory already.
Other features include a full QWERTY keyboard, Internet browsing support, Wi-Fi support over 802.11 a/b/g, a large phone book, an alarm, a calendar, a notepad, a to-do list, a calculator, numerous voice commands, email support, and GPS support.
Pros
- Gigantic feature list
- 3G, Wi-Fi, and GPS support
- Large screen
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- The most stylish BlackBerry to date
Cons
- Somewhat decent battery life
- Poor camera
- Not much built in memory
- Screen could be of higher quality
Overall
The BlackBerry RIM 9000 is a feature fanatic’s dream phone. It has practically every advanced feature available to phones today, making it an impressive device. While businesspersons will definitely be happy with the BlackBerry RIM 9000, it may not meet the expectations of the average consumer with its shorter battery life, average camera, and less vibrant screen. If you can get this at a low price, it is definitely worth the investment.
