Audiovox PPC-6600/6601

Audiovox PPC-6600/6601

The battery life is not something to talk about. Its 1490 mAh Li-ion battery provides 3.6 hours of talk time and a pathetic 144 hours while on standby.

Pros

Whatever your entertainment or business needs, the Audiovox PPC-6600/6601 has it all:

  • Camera with flash and video recording (the 6601 does not have a camera)
  • MP3 music player
  • Bluetooth wireless technology
  • Large screen
  • 64 MB internal memory
  • 3G support
  • Advanced email capabilities
  • Expansion slot for memory
  • Aesthetically pleasing design
  • Fast processing speed

Cons

Unfortunately, the phone also packs in a number of shortcomings:

  • Terrible battery life
  • Heavy weight of 210g
  • Ringer and speakerphone sound volumes are a bit low
  • Frequent lockups
  • Camera resolution could have been better

Overall

You will be hard-pressed to find another handheld on the market that offers these many features fit into such a small frame while looking so attractive. It has appealed to many a tech-junkie and businessman alike. Before you decide on a purchase, however, make sure you’ve taken a look at the list of shortcomings it has. If more than a few of these cause you concern, it would be better to look elsewhere for a phone.
