FoneStarz Signs LG Deal to provide content

Mobile content retailer FoneStarz Media has signed a deal to provide content to LG users in 22 countries around the world, including the UK, China, India and Australia.

FoneStarz will provide a range of wallpapers and animations from its portfolio that LG users can access via their phones or by visiting lgmobile.com.  FoneStarz says it will update its offering on a regular basis. The content will be added to the LG portals and independently managed by Electronic Arts.

LG mobile is employing a billing system that enables customers to collect loyalty points that can be redeemed for downloads. Users can earn credits that they can exchange for content by visiting the LG mobile website and completing surveys, presumably enabling LG to find out more about them and target them with relevant offers.
