Exceeded 3000,Nokia cuts 330 jobs again
Sony Ericsson cuts jobs just the past few days, Nokia has also announced last Friday, as the adjustment of R & D part of the business plan, it will lay off in Finland and Denmark, about 330 employees. Nokia said in a statement: "The cuts are expected to affect the business Oulu, Finland 230 employees and Copenhagen Business Division, about 100 employees."
It added that it currently has about 17000 R & D staff, of which about 2,000 people working in Oulu, there are 1,000 people working in Copenhagen. As consumers affected by the global financial crisis reduced the amount of mobile phone purchases, Nokia's results were a greater impact, so in January it announced a cost-cutting plan.
The goal of cost-cutting plan to save 700 million euros a year in costs. From January to before the layoffs, Nokia has already laid off about 3,700 employees, including 1,300 employees voluntary separation.
