Helmet charger revealed

Helmet charger revealed

As we've reported how California is in the process of making it illegal to use a cell phone while biking, this one accessory could possibly be of some use to bikers looking for a green friendly solution to charging their device on the go.

Developed by two students from India for a project, the basic premise of the helmet is to not only protect your head in an unfortunate accident, but to charge your cell phone as well. With some solar panels tacked on to the helmet, it'll undoubtedly top off some juice to your cell phone as you casually bike. Although the only piece of information made known by the students is its inexpensive $23 price tag, there isn't any indication if this thing will go into mass production.
